Welcome to Hercules
International
The driving force at Hercules Tire International has traditionally been that of an exporter of tires from North America. We are currently undergoing a dramatic shift to globalize the sourcing, marketing, and distribution of our products in key markets around the world. Teams and warehousing are currently in place in Miami serving Latin America, and Hefei China shipping globally. Additionally offices are established in Dubai, Singapore, Quingdao,Guanzhou and 3PL warehousing is in place in Rotterdam. Our goal at Hercules Tire International is to meet the needs of our customers and key suppliers today and into the future and believe that this local approach to markets is the best strategy to achieve that goal.

...about Hercules Tire International
Hercules Tire International, as well as Hercules Canada, got their beginning as Treadway, founded in 1967 in Waterloo, Ontario.
Soon after, Dominion Royal, (known in the U.S. as Uniroyal) asked Treadway to distribute surplus production from its Canadian plant outside the local market. Over the years, Treadway developed similar agreements with other manufacturers.
By the 1990’s, the export business had become so important that a private brand was launched, Electra, to further enhance container mixing options, and a new division was set up, Treadway Exports. This new division included its own freight forwarding operation, Shiprite Forwarding, to service the export operations.
In 1997, Treadway was acquired by Hercules Tire in Findlay, Ohio, one of America’s largest independent tire distributors. For Treadway Exports, this meant the addition of two additional private brands, Hercules and Merit, available for sale abroad. With a roughly 50/50 mix between Surplus Programs and Private Brands, a warehouse was opened in China in 2004 to better service our distributor network worldwide. Not long after, another private brand, Ironman, was introduced.
By 2006, the Export Division was christened Hercules Tire International (HTI), with offices in Dubai, Barcelona, Miami, Singapore and Costa Rica. HTI is now set to build on its current customer base in more than 100 countries; and grow its manufacturer surplus business, as well as its private brand programs in the exciting world tire market.
